The Education Sub-Committee will then consider each application on a case by case basis and assist where necessary.

Kinky Craft
Sunday 15th November, 3:30 - 5:30pm
After the success of our last DIY Kink workshop, Miss Yasmin has kindly agreed to host another afternoon of crafty fun with some exciting new projects. Come along and make some wonderful new toys for your kit bag (or perhaps the perfect made-with-love Xmas present for a kinky friend), and even if you're a craft novice the projects are so simple that anyone can do them! Bookings are absolutely essential for this workshop, as all the materials and equipment are provided, and whatever you make, you get to take home!

Impact Play
Sunday 18th October, 3:30 - 5:30pm
Whipping, flogging, spanking, paddling and caning, things that go thwack in the night! Impact play is one of the SM classics, so if you're wanting to learn how to wield a whip, or brush up on your skills, this is the workshop for you. From heavy thud to steamy sting, Katrina Harrison knows just how to swing the toys that whack and will be sharing her knowledge and skill in this fabulous workshop.

Come join us in a hilarious and totally enjoyable journey through the history of ‘Leather Culture’ and what the hanky code means with Cardinal Titi, Sister Salome of the Ninth Mystic Rhinestone, Mother Desmond 33 with a Bloody Good Tan and Daddy Sir.
Starting off with a blessing to open the proceedings, our presenters will then take us through the history of Stonewall, the motorcycle clubs (Dolphins, SPMC) and then local accomplishments such as Drummer/ Clive Platman and other tile holders and then the evolution/ devotion of the local (Leather) bar scene. Hankys will then be taken out and discussed. What colour are you? Which way should you wear them. Is the left the right and right the best way to get that special person in your life? Or are we all just black and white? Should red be sneezed at or does that really mean we need to be more orange? What does a switch have over people that doesn't come out in the wash? Get to know your hankys so that when you are out having fun you know who else you can play with.

"Mr. Leather" is an unforgettable journey into the lives of today's Leathermen and the exciting, sexy and hilarious world of Leather Contests. It is a touching, never-before-seen view of an underground gay lifestyle that is as funny as it is inspiring. From home, to work, to the bars, to the sex shop, we follow nine contestants to see who will be crowned the next Mr. Los Angeles Leather.
"Mr. Leather" tells the story behind the 2003 Mr. LA Leather Contest, the largest leather gathering on the West Coast. The documentary takes the audience deep into the lives of the contestants as they reveal everything from the most intimate to the most mundane facets of this little understood lifestyle.
We witness the spectrum of sexual fetishes, the love of leather and kink, and the appeal of this subculture. As the final contest looms, the tension mounts. They study leather history, practice their speeches, and make last minute purchases, agonising over their outfits and strategy. They are as varied as nine men can be, but they all share the same dream, as they strap on their jock straps and leather chaps, step up onto the stage and compete for the title of Mr. Leather.

Presented by Bob Moore - This is a Leather Pride Week classic workshop! Not only the real basics, but all the things you probably know and maybe forgot or even sometimes think 'I don't need to do that anymore'. Well actually, care and caution is required at all skill levels so if you did not come last year it's time for a refresher.
This session is for players of all levels, novice, beginner, intermediate and advanced.
Anyone with care or concern for themselves and their play partners will benefit.
The workshop will be a general discussion with people sharing their experiences of what they have done and what they haven’t – so come and join in and share your experiences.

Come and join us for a general discussion with a Sydney Lawyer on 'SM & The Law - Assults'.
Have you ever been in a 'play' situation or something similar when something has happened and you are not sure that it may have been appropriate? What are your rights? What can you do so that it doesn't happen again. Who can you tell so that your concerns are dealt with correctly and appropriately.
Last years 'SM & The Law' was well received and was very engaging. This workshop is designed to be similar to our previous one last year with an open discussion forum planned.
Know your rights and know how to be safe in any situation.

A format that really worked for Uber last year. A "circuit class" of BDSM techniques, each displayed by someone who was really really into what they did. Location to be provided on rsvp.
Presenters will talk about what they love about their particular area, how to do it safely, and show you a demonstration of how. This time we intend to cover areas such as fire play, needles, electrical play, and predicament bondage. but we still may offer more...

The Stay and Play component is optional on the day - its totally up to you and how you are feeling. People who wish to stay and utilise the space as an active place to play as well as learn, may choose to do so.
The cost is an additional $20, and we will be providing supper. So we will eat, chat then play until 9pm - it is a school night after all!!!!

FOLSOM STREET EVENTS FOR 2009
Folsom Street Events has a long history within the Leather/Fetish/BDSM Community both here in Australia and worldwide. The 'Folsom Street Fair' held on the last Sunday in September every year is the culmination of many different events held in San Francisco and internationally. The latter includes 'Folsom Europe' in Berlin, Germany.
If you haven't experienced the largest leather event in the world 'Folsom Street Fair' where 400,000 people over 13 city blocks in San Francisco, mingle and take part in activities that you have only dreamed of, please put these Folsom Street Event dates in your diary and make plans to take part!
