As this is the big annual update we have some news from the Education team:

Jack has sadly moved north to study so although we hope to see Jack (aka Cub) during Leather Pride Week & holiday weekends we will be missing his quiet presence at the back of the room. Jon and Felix will still be around as much as they can (we love learning & sharing!) and Miss Tam will be helping out on most workshop nights so please say hi.

The big news is there is a new Education Officer in the form of new SLPA Committee member David S. He is keen to learn along with you and help bring a wide variety of topics and presenters to the program this year.

That means that in the short term we ask you education regulars to be as helpful as possible with booking your spots promptly, arriving on time to workshops and having some good questions ready at question time to enable smooth running.

Once you have emailed to book a place for workshops you will receive a confirmation with David's mobile number and the venue address.

Any queries after booking you can email slpa.education@gmail.com or sms 0411 289 369 with a message "re: education course", and provide your name and contact number with a request for David to call you back.

These workshops, skill shares and seminars are provided for you so please let the Education team know of topics you want to see, presenters you like or want to meet and any other fab ideas are very welcome, especially anything of interest you may cook up together with David.

We also hope to offer some information about other activities going on in the local area - if you hear of anything interesting let us know too.

See you there
