SLPA eNews - NavGAYtion Raffle This Sunday! @ Wed 7/03/07
Manacle is offering SLPA an opportunity to be involved in selling raffle tickets for the NavGaytion Cruise with the prize being a first class cabin on the cruise. Full details are listed below.
Proceeds will be split between SLPA and the Luncheon Club, so basically the more tickets we sell the more that goes to both us and Luncheon Club.
Tickets will be available at Manacle at both bars and SLPA will be selling tickets this Saturday at Manacle. If you would like to purchase a ticket, but can't get to Manacle, please call me on 0418 513 512 prior to the draw that Sunday.

the cabin can take up to 4 people
the cabin will be outside and will be located on an deck at this stage, we will make it as high as we can the cabin has private ensuite with a cabin steward cruise includes all food, main meals, ships regular activities as well as the Dance Parties and Entertainment
Tickets are $5 each and available from SLPA, The Luncheon Club and both bars at MANACLE
The proceeds from the raffle will be split 50/50 between SLPA and LC
The draw will take place on Sunday night 11 March at around 11pm during CaBEARet with JBEAR
The smugglers bar on board the PACIFIC SKY will become the MANACLE SMUGGLERS BAR for the duration of the cruise. As MANACLE has become a part of the cruise and NavGAYtion have given us the cabin, we thought it only appropriate that we give the cabin as a community fundraiser.
SLPA eNews - Mardi Gras Week @ Tue 27/02/2007
Mardi Gras is upon us again, and there are a number of events that leather pride is involved in this year.
Leather Pride Meet & Greet
Leather Pride is having a Meet & Greet for the Leather community this Thursday 1 March 2007 at Manacle Bar from 8 pm.
This is an ideal opportunity for ALL members of the Leather Community to meet in the lead up to Mardi Gras. Manacle is the home Bar of Leather Pride and has provided us with an excellent venue to hold our events.
Come along on Thursday and bring all your friends.
Mardi Gras Parade
Leather Pride will be having an entry in the Parade again this year.
We will be having a small float - a St Andrews Cross with numerous leather "objects of love". We will also be having a Chinese "Year of the Pig" dragon, with a difference, as well as a walking group.
If you would like to be part of our entry in the Parade this year, you will need to meet beforehand to get a wrist band to enter the parade marshalling area.
Felix, our Volunteer coordinator, who has done a magnificent job once again this year with all the events we are in and assisting in, will be near the reflecting pool in Hyde Park South 5-6pm to wristband.

The SLPA Pool Comp will start heats in various bars (Manacle, Newtown, Hampshire, Flinders, etc) from early April 2007 so start practising now.

Dear Members,
We hope you have had a happy holiday season, and the best wishes of the Committee for this new year. A detailed eNews will be forthcoming in a week, but for now, a few more immediate notices:
1. Leather Night @ Manacle
This Saturday is Leather Night at Manacle. Thanks to the graciousness and generosity of Stuart and Andrew and all the staff at Manacle, as well as fantastic support from the Community, this has become an important and successful regular event for SLPA. Come along and have a drink, and don't forget your Leather Night discount on house beer when you show your SLPA Membership Card!
2. General Meeting
This is the second notice of the General Meeting, to be held this Sunday, 21 January 2007, at the Club Bar @ Manacle, 6pm. Amongst the items for discussion are Mardi Gras Festival events, Education, and other important coming events, including Inquisition 15. Apologies and Proxies must be lodged with the Secretary at slpasec@sydneyleatherpride.org no later than close of business on Friday.
3. SLPA Australia day BBQ & Swap meet @ The Hampshire
12-3pm pre-booked Bbq lunch $15
